Akatsuki Games Inc. announced Wednesday that its action RPG TRIBE NINE has reached a significant milestone with over 10 million downloads across the globe. In celebration of the achievement, players are receiving 1,200 Enigma Entities—sufficient for 10 Synchro pulls—distributed as an in-game reward.

The milestone coincides with the launch of update Ver. 1.0.10, which brings a new playable character, Kazuki Aoyama, into the game’s roster. Available through the limited-time Event Synchro: Azure Streak, Aoyama is a ★3 character known for his support capabilities, including the ability to provide Shields to party members and execute conditional attacks that enhance overall combat effectiveness. In addition, players who unlock Aoyama can also acquire an exclusive “Vengeance” costume as part of the event’s offerings.

Alongside these game enhancements, a special free streaming event for the TRIBE NINE anime will begin on YouTube on March 13, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. PDT. The series, comprised of 12 episodes, will be released on a daily schedule until April 29, 2025, and features Japanese audio paired with English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese subtitles.

Set in a dystopian version of Neo Tokyo, the game presents a narrative where the city is ruled by a masked antagonist known as Zero. Players engage in three-person team battles, employing unique character abilities and tactics. The game also integrates a distinct “XB (Extreme Baseball)” battle mode and offers extensive exploration within a 2D pixel-style overworld filled with hidden treasures and side quests.

The free-to-play model, supported by optional in-app purchases, continues to make TRIBE NINE accessible to a diverse audience as it expands its universe and evolves its gameplay experience.
